Skyrim Special Edition Default Values for All Valid INI SettingsIf it's not here, the tweak is most likely bogus, if it follows the same pattern as in previous games. To verify a setting exists, use the getini console command. If it returns 'NOT FOUND,' it is bogus. (Side note: settings with a u-prefix always returns an 'UNKNOWN TYPE' value. This is normal and the setting is still valid.) Also note that there is a SkyrimCustom.ini that is believed to function the same way it has done in previous games (overwrite Skyrim.ini, but not SkyrimPrefs.ini). Plugin INIs have not been tested. I have settled for the same definition of 'Default' as I used for the original Skyrim, i.e., the value used when the setting is not explicitly stated in the INI files.
Do NOT use these as your INI files.
This is for reference only at this point.
Update: It appears that the saveini method of retrieving valid INI settings fails for SkyrimPrefs.ini, therefore some bogus settings have been included below until I can remove all the bogus ones! With this development, it is possible that there are SkyrimPrefs.ini settings that exist that simply are not listed here!
Update2: I have removed the very few bogus settings I could verify through the console, which happened to only be the NavMesh section, which was also erroneously in the original Skyrim. I believe that this INI file IS complete, but I have no way to verify that for SkyrimPrefs.ini. Skyrim.ini, however, is provided here in its entirety.

Hi. Mod author of Clean Menu, 60 FPS Interface and Immersive Bookreading and Lockpicking here.
Note: you can skip step 3 if you're modifying an existing interface mod, like SkyUI. If the mod you're modifying doesn't use .bsa files, then skip step 2 as well. Good luck.
Step by step tutorial:
- Download JPEXS 9.0.0, the free Flash decompiler
- Download Bethesda Archive Extractor
- Use the BSA Manager to open up the .bsa file of Skyrim's 'interface.bsa' file, and extract the files in a folder of your choice. This gives you access to the Flash files that govern the look and functionality of your interface. Alternatively, you can use this tool to extract a mod's .bsa file so that you can modify their interface files to your liking.
- Use JPEXS to open up the .swf file you wish to modify.
- Click on the 'header' and click edit.
- For 60 FPS: change the 'frame rate' value to 60. [Click for image.]
- For widescreen: change the third box of 'display rect' to double its value. [Click for image.] Also, read the comment made by ALargeAndMovingTorb for more information on creating Widescreen patches.
That is literally all that is necessary to make an interface file run at 60 FPS or at widescreen resolution. Mod authors claiming otherwise are merely keeping you in the dark to glorify their own low effort patches. Furthermore, please keep in mind that you should test the files after modifying them, as not all of them can run properly at 60 FPS or in widescreen resolution. Don't upload files until after you've verified that they work. Note that you can, for example, do this to mods such as SkyUI or other interface mods.
Please don't hesitate to ask questions. Hope this was useful to some.
